PICKLEX® 20 - Things to Remember
Things to Remember while Using/Applying Picklex® 20
For Heavy Rust with hard crust or Heavy Pitted Rust, break the hard crust with a wire brush before applying Picklex® 20.
Note: Metal parts without any oil can be de-rusted by using the dipping process without removing the loose rust.
De-grease and Dry the metal surface if it has anything other than light Mill Oil or Water Based Cutting Fluid, such as Heavy Oil, Grease, Soil etc.
1.)
DO NOT perform Near-white or White blasting if the metal surface is Blasted for Hot Rolled Steel or Re-painting job, only Commercial or Industrial blasting is needed
2.)
DO NOT apply too much product on the metal surface
3.)
DO NOT Wait longer than 60 to 90 seconds before removing the excess product completely from the metal surface to avoid having Residue.
NOTE: For Dipping Process, the above time starts after removing the metal part from the dip tank.
4.)
Remove the excess Picklex® 20 completely down to the metal surface
5.)
Allow enough time for complete drying (couple of Hours to overnight) if air dried

DO NOT RINSE (if rinsed, coating should be heat dried.
Note: For Powder Coating application, which has an Oven for Heat Drying, rinsing can be done)
